I’m so happy with these! It is being useasonably cold this year and these are extremely warm and fit well.

I did a mash up of few different charts from this book, which is well worth buying if you are into latvian mittens. The amount of charts and patterns is incredible and techniques (like the latvian braid, different cast-ons) are explained really well.

The yarn is traditional colourwork shetland yarn by Jamieson&Smith. It is not the softest but on the upside it will probably wear well. I’d like to try my new Blue Faced DK yarn for another pair.

Keep warm and knit on!

    1. It was a mixture of a few different patterns and it was 6 years ago, so I’m afraid we don’t have a pattern for this! The style of mitten is called Latvian, so you should be able to find a similar pattern out there.
