Wheaten

This lovely pattern is by Anne Hanson for Brooklyntweed’s Wool People, Ravelry link here. I made the scarf size, but I went up a needle size, as I think my yarn was a bit thicker. I also added an extra repeat for a longer scarf.

It blocked out huge!
The yarn is Pickles Merino Tweed, colourway Trail. The yarn is lovely and soft, not too fragile for a single*. Little bit thick and thin. I used just over 2 balls.
(*single – meaning the yarn is single ply construction, just one strand)

I love the cable and lace combination. The chart is easy to memorize and the results are stunning. I love patterns like this!

Do you have a favourite lace and cable pattern?

  1. I just received my first Twist club yarn (Havana) from you and it's just the most exquisite color ways I've ever seen, it would look wonderful in a Brooklyn Tweed patter, thank you so very much! I will recommend your club to all my yarn sisters at Black Mountain Yarn Shop, Black Mountain, North Carolina
