Such an enjoyable knit! Delightfully challenging, the colour changes kept me on my toes, I’m in love with the edging, what more to ask for? Exploration Station by Westknits!
on Ravelry) really outdid himself on this one. The generous size is perfect coziness and the details are a sheer delight (seamless I cord edging all around the shawl anyone? Be still my little perfectionist heart…)
There’s brioche, short rows, slipped stitches, stripes, chevrons, double yarn overs and 4 colours of yarn, yet the shawl is cohesive and really pretty. I even used one variegated yarn and it doesn’t take away from the pattern.
The yarns I used are mentioned in my previous post
, all HF Sock Yarn, colurways Silence, Stone, Monarch and Graphite. (Monarch is coming to the shop soon!)
You can get the pattern for Exploration Station here. The stock levels of HF Sock Yarn will be replenished in the shop soon (you can subscribe to our newsletter on the bottom of the shop website to get an email every time we update the store with fresh yarns)
Check out Stephen’s version using our yarn (he used 6 colours instead the recommended 4, I think I see Spell, Naive, Silence, Whisper, Stone, Crystal?)
