Vidalia, free pattern

Another day, another free pattern from Hedgehog Fibres! Meet Vidalia – our newest sock pattern. I adore the crisp meandering lines, that look intricate, yet modern.
Hedgehog Fibres Twist Sock and 2.25mm circular needle is best suited for this pattern.

Available as a free download through the website and on Ravelry.

The ribbing flows nicely into the allover rib pattern, which is a must for me. The fit is quite narrow and as the repeat is so large, to size up go with a bigger needle.
I went with the traditional heel flap construction, it’s the fit I like the best and it’s what a lot of knitters are comfortable with. My pair was knitted in the colourway ‘Graphite’ and the pattern would be best suited for semi-solid or tonal yarns.

Vidalia is a type of a sweet onion. That’s what the pattern reminds me of!

Hope you like it and I’d love to see your version 🙂
